Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government why the work of the Independent Taskforce developing the five-year action plan for cancer services has been paused.

The work of the independent Cancer Taskforce has not been paused. The taskforce’s report, Achieving World-Class Cancer Outcomes: A Strategy for England 2015-20, was published on 19 July 2015 and the chairman of the Taskforce organised a Parliamentary briefing on 21 July which was attended by Members of both Houses.
