The UK has allocated £2 million to support UNICEF in Eritrea in 2020/21. This funding is channelled through our Nutrition, Health and Sanitation Support programme, Africa Humanitarian Response Fund, and UNICEF's Accelerating Sanitation and Water for All programme. Our support will provide assistance to over 450,000 pregnant women and children in response to humanitarian needs exacerbated by COVID-19 in Eritrea.

Budget allocations are made for financial years and allocations for 2021/22 have not yet been made. These will be decided through a rigorous business planning and budget allocation process in early 2021
