Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what estimate he has made of the number of flats in high-rise residential multi-occupied buildings of 18 metres or more in height, or more than six storeys (whichever is reached first), which are in shared ownership.
The Department does not hold this data. The number of high-rise residential multi-occupied buildings of 18 metres or more in height, or more than six storeys (whichever is reached first) in England is published in the Building Safety Programme: monthly data release. The 2017-18 English Housing Survey estimates that shared ownership properties make up a very small proportion of all owners (1 per cent or 157,000 households).
