Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how much his Department has spent on (a) staffing costs, (b) consultancy spend and (c) software costs for the Common Platform.

Common Platform falls within the Crime pillar, of the February 2021 HMT approved £1.3b Reform Programme. As at the 31 March 2021, HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) had spent £236m on the implementation of the Common Platform Programme. This includes a) £36m on staffing, b) £0.3m on consultancy and c) £199m on the development of the Common Platform.
