The Cancer Recovery Taskforce is overseeing the development of the cancer recovery plan, which will consider how best to consolidate innovations developed as a result of the pandemic, including the provision of remote services.

The Taskforce is chaired by Professor Peter Johnson, the National Clinical Director for Cancer. It forms part of the NHS Cancer Programme governance structure and reports directly to the National Cancer Board.

Local clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are responsible for ensuring that services meet the needs of local patients.
