Question to the Department for International Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, whether the provisions on (a) Government procurement, (b) competition policy, (c) Government subsidies and (d) state-owned enterprises, enterprises granted special rights or privileges and designated monopolies in the UK-Japan free trade agreement have been substantively changed from the equivalent provisions in chapters 10-13 of the EU-Japan economic partnership agreement.
After the agreement is signed, we will lay the full text in parliament. We will also publish a parliamentary report, setting out in detail any areas where there are material differences between the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the UK-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
