The FCDO does not maintain data on numbers of British nationals overseas and we do not require British nationals to register with an Embassy / High Commission when they travel or live abroad. Any registration process would quickly become dated as British nationals would not reliably update their location. We do however, encourage British nationals to follow FCDO Travel Advice and to consult gov.uk for the latest information and advice on returning to the UK from a red list country.
