The BBC broadcasts weekly and daily summaries of Westminster parliamentary activity on Radio 4. The BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and coverage of parliamentary proceedings is a matter for the BBC. The government therefore has had no recent discussions with the BBC on broadcasting parliamentary proceedings on the radio.
