Diabetes: Drugs

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what discussions he has had with the (a) Royal College of Nursing and (b) other relevant stakeholders on emerging drugs to treat diabetes.

The Department has had no specific discussions with the Royal College of Nursing or other stakeholders. There are well established drugs for the management of diabetes and we continue to engage with stakeholders on this issue. Driving research and innovation in diabetes care remains a key priority.
