Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, what recent discussions he has had with online platforms on ensuring that they swiftly deal with online consumer harm.

The government works closely with online platforms on a range of issues. The Competition and Markets Authority enforces consumer protection law online. The Office for Product Safety and Standards, part of BEIS, leads the government’s work on product safety, including the sale of products online.
