The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) sets out clinical guidelines for the provision of fertility services, including in vitro fertilisation.

We have made no such assessment. However, we expect clinical commissioning groups to commission fertility services in line with NICE’s guidelines, so that there is equitable access across England.

We have undertaken an internal review of this issue and are currently considering options to address these variations.
