The Ministry of Defence (MOD) regularly and routinely deploys large numbers of personnel overseas and as such the support network, polices and processes are well established. Families of Service personnel affected by covid-19 who are deployed abroad have the same suite of support available to all our Service Families, regardless of what caused the person to fall ill. Each family has a designated Point of Contact for the duration of a deployment to act as an intermediary for accessing welfare support from the Parent Unit. Operating in around 80 countries, we are experienced in dealing with a range of issues, both at home and abroad, with the welfare of our Service Families being of paramount importance.
