Doctors: Migrant Workers

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what discussions his Department has had with (a) Hospital Trusts and (b) the British Medical Association on the effect of the UK leaving the EU on the number of doctors from the EU working in the NHS.

The Department and the Secretary of State have regular discussions with the British Medical Association and hospital trusts on a range of issues.

The Secretary of State has always made clear that European Union nationals who work in the National Health Service make a valuable contribution and securing their futures will be a priority in the Brexit negotiations.
