The Home Office collects and publishes data biannually on the number of police officers in each police force area.

The latest available data are published in the ‘Police workforce, England and Wales, 30 September 2016’ statistical bulletin, available here:https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/police-workforce-england-and-wales-30-september-2016

The Home Office does not collect data at lower levels of geography, such as London boroughs.
