Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, how many people undertook an unpaid work placement in his Department in each of the last five years for which figures are available; and how many such placements lasted for longer than one month.

My Department has operated a small number of unpaid work placements in each of the last five years. Almost all of these placements arise from cross-Whitehall internship and Department for Work and Pensions led movement to work schemes.
