Accident and Emergency Departments: Weather

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what additional funding has been allocated to clinical commissioning groups to help with pressures in accident and emergency departments in winter 2015-16; and when such funding was first announced.

We are advised by NHS England that for 2015/16, around £380 million has been allocated to all clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) to support resilience initiatives. NHS England published details of the CCG allocations for 2015/16 on 19 December 2014.
