The General Practice Resilience Programme is a four year programme backed by £40 million investment, £16 million this financial year (2016/17).

The General Practice Resilience Programme allows a wide menu of support to be delivered tailored to the needs of the practices prioritised for support. This could include backfill for doctors so that they can engage in planning and implementation of changes that will support longer term sustainability and resilience. As this is the first year of the programme and support is currently being delivered, it is too early to make an assessment of the effectiveness of the programme.
