Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what estimate he has made of the average number of acute inpatient mental health care beds available in (a) Coventry and (b) Warwickshire in each month of each of the last five years; and if he will make a statement.

This question was answered on 27th January 2017

NHS Improvement advises that, over the last five years, there has been a strategically managed reduction in beds across Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust. NHS Improvement has further advised that stable bed occupancy rates reflect that this has been managed in a safe and controlled manner.
