Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many senior civil servants in his Department were on a leave of absence from work due to mental illness in each month of each year since its creation.
This question was answered on 26th January 2017
Records in the current reporting system go back to the beginning of 2009. Since this date, fewer than five senior civil servants have taken leave of absence for reasons related to mental health. Due to the low number of instances this figure cannot be broken down any further.
