UK International Climate Finance (ICF) is spent by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra). In 2015 the UK committed to spend £5.8 billion of ICF between 2016/17 and 2020/21, supporting developing countries adapt and build resilience to the effects of climate change, pursue low-carbon development and sustainably manage natural resources. Between 2016/17 and 2019/20, £4.4 billion of ICF was spent. Final figures for the full five year period are not yet available but we expect the commitment of £5.8 billion to be met.
