In November 2015, there were 59 head teachers in academies and Free Schools recorded receiving an actual salary of more than the Prime Minister, £142,500. This figure includes executive head teachers who are in charge of more than one school.

This information is collected in the School Workforce Census which covers state funded schools in England and is the latest available.
