The New Decade, New Approach financial agreement reflects the unique circumstances faced by Northern Ireland and supports the incoming Executive to tackle these. The UK Government is committed to supporting all parts of the UK, including delivering increased funding for Wales, and will continue to do so. The 2019 Spending Round provided the biggest day-to-day funding settlement for Wales in a decade with over £17bn in 2020-21 for the Welsh Government, an increase of over £600m. The UK Government’s infrastructure revolution combined with increased funding for areas like the NHS in England will deliver significant increases to the budgets of the Scottish and Welsh Governments.
