Government is committed to delivering accessible homes for older and disabled people, and this remains important during the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. For example on 27 May we paid £505 million in Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) funding to local authorities to fund home adaptations that will help older and disabled people live independently and safely at home for longer. We will also consult shortly on various options to raise the accessibility of new homes.
