The Prime Minister has established the Department for International Trade to promote British trade across the world, and the Department’s ministers will provide further information on its strategy and policies over the coming months.

The UK continues to be a global leader on climate action, as demonstrated by our recent ratification of the Paris Agreement and agreement of the UK’s Fifth Carbon Budget in July. The UK has long supported the promotion of our values globally and this will continue as we leave the EU. While we remain members of the EU, the UK will participate constructively in EU decision making on trade issues, including on environmental provisions within trade agreements.
