Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps his Department is taking to improve the examination of eyes for (a) children with autism and (b) other sensory-effected children.

NHS England has set up a working group to consider whether the provision of National Health Service sight tests for people, including those with learning difficulties, who may have a need for, but difficulties accessing services can be improved. The working group is expected to report back their findings and recommendations in the autumn.
