Housing Benefit and Universal Credit

Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate she has made of the number of households that had (a) Housing Benefit and (b) Universal Credit capped in (i) March 2020 and (ii) April 2020 in each Region and Local Authority of the UK.

The information requested is not readily available and to provide it would incur disproportionate cost.

The published Benefit Cap statistics are currently available to February 2020. Statistics for the number of households capped in Housing Benefit and Universal Credit in March 2020 and April 2020 will be published on the sixth of August.
