Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, when he plans to make the arthritis pacemaker implant available on the NHS.

We are aware of recent research regarding a new implant to treat arthritis, however this research remains at a relatively early stage and larger scientific trials would be needed to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of such a device before it could be considered for routine National Health Service use.
