Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, how much Southampton City Council collected in business rates in each of the last seven years.

The table below shows the total receipts of national non-domestic rates collected in the financial year, irrespective of the year to which it relates, for Southampton City Council from 2012-13 to 2016-17. This total includes the amount collected in respect of the billing year, in respect of the previous years and an estimate of receipts in respect of the subsequent billing year. These figures are also net of refunds and exclude court and administration costs.


Figures for 2010-11 and 2011-12 were not published at the local authority level.
