We regularly raise with the Saudi Arabian Government the importance of compliance with international humanitarian law and continue to call on all parties to the conflict to renew their commitment to a Cessation of Hostilities for the sake of the people of Yemen. The UK supports the Saudi Arabian-led Coalition military intervention, which came at the request of legitimate President Hadi, to deter aggression by the Houthis and forces loyal to the former president Saleh, and allow for the return of the legitimate Yemeni Government.
