Helping British travellers who need and want to return to the UK is one of the Government's highest priorities. The UK Government continues to work with the airline industry and host governments across the world to help bring back British travellers to the UK as part of the plan announced by the Foreign Secretary on 30 March - with up to £75 million available for special charter flights to priority countries, focused on helping the most vulnerable travellers.

Numbers of registrations on a given date are not readily available. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) does not have a central registration system. British travellers are only asked to register for flights with Corporate Travel Management when charter flights have been announced for a country and numbers are therefore constantly changing. Seats are allocated to British travellers on a first come first served basis, with priority given to the most vulnerable. As of 15 May, we have allocated seats to over 32,000 people on 153 flights organised by the Foreign Office from 29 countries and territories
