Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what additional funding is being made available to help increase cancer survival rates.
This is being supported by £325 million of investment in NHS diagnostics. In July 2021, the National Health Service announced a further £20 million made available to Cancer Alliances to accelerate cancer diagnosis and enable management of high referral volumes. This is being supported by £325 million of investment in NHS diagnostics. The NHS Long Term Plan also sets out further plans for the transformation of cancer services and to increase cancer survival rates.
