NHS England will soon start formal negotiations with the General Practitioner Committee of the British Medical Association on the 2020/21 GP contract. The Government is in the process of setting out to NHS England its priorities for the improvement and transformation of general practice. The 2020/21 contract will seek to build on the ambitious programme of reform that was set out in the five-year framework. This framework was published in January of this year. In particular, the 2020/21 contract will see the introduction of recommendations from the Review of Vaccination and Immunisations and the Access Review.
