Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what additional (a) staffing and (b) funding has been allocated to the Health and Safety Executive to increase capacity for the inspection of premises to ensure safe working during the covid-19 outbreak.

As part of a recent announcement, the government has made available up to an extra £14 million for the HSE, equivalent to an increase of 10% of their budget, for extra call centre employees, inspectors and equipment if needed.
