We are working around the clock to give the health and social care sector and wider National Health Service, including allied health professionals, the equipment and support they need to tackle this outbreak. Between 25 February and 20 April we delivered over 900 million items of personal protective equipment across the health and social care system within England, plus tens of millions more will have been distributed by the devolved administrations. The Government is also rapidly scaling up the national effort to boost testing capacity for COVID-19 to protect the vulnerable, support the NHS, and ultimately save lives.
