Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many nurses (a) left the profession and (b) qualified in each of the last five years for which figures are available.

The Department does not hold the information on the number of nurses who qualified in the last five years. The Nursing and Midwifery Council is the body that nurses apply to for professional registration after graduation, and may hold this information.
