Overseas Loans: Republic of Ireland

Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the current status is of the previous Government's loan to the government of Ireland; and what proportion of that loan remains outstanding.

This information can be found in the most recent statutory report which the Treasury provided to Parliament as required by Section 2 of the Loans to Ireland Act 2010. The last report was published on the 13 October 2014 and is available here along with all previous reports submitted:

Since the publication of this report, the UK has received a further interest payment from Ireland, on the 15 December 2014, of £41,998,674.42.

The next report, covering the reporting period which finished on the 31 March 2015, will be provided as soon as reasonably possible.
