The Royal Navy is undertaking two related concept studies to inform future Airborne Early Warning (AEW) requirements and considering more widely the requirement for an Airborne Command capability.

The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) 'Look Out!' Challenge is investigating sensor payloads for AEW, and the Maritime Uncrewed Air Systems Programme is investigating sensor host platforms.
