The safety and welfare of young people in custody is vital and we take all incidents of violence extremely seriously.

A pilot of Body Worn Video Cameras (BWVCs) is currently taking place across 23 prisons, including Cookham Wood, Feltham and Wetherby under -18 Young Offender Institutions.

BWVCs are already in use at all Secure Training Colleges (STCs).
