Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, pursuant to the Answer of 19 March 2019 to Question 909885 on the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998, what progress his Department has made in planning for the assessment of the recent reforms to the legislative framework of protection for workers.

It is right and proper that Government reviews the whistleblowing framework, however we believe that it would be premature to conduct a review at this time. Instead we should allow the existing changes that we have introduced to embed and build the necessary evidence of their impact to support a review in due course.
