Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the reasons are for the different criteria for emissions applying to cars than to motorcycles when road tax values are applied.

The Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) system for cars is based on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of the vehicle but CO2 emissions data has only been mandatory for motorcycles since 1 January 2016.
