Until the UK leaves the EU, EEA and Swiss citizens currently living in the UK, as well as UK nationals living in other EU Member States, continue to have the same rights and status, and are subject to the same residence requirements under EU law, as was the case before Article 50 was triggered. The EU Settlement Scheme will launch fully on 30 March regardless of whether Article 50 is extended.
