Clinical commissioning group (CCG) spending on services for people with a learning disability and autistic people is not collected centrally.

The NHS Long Term Plan set out commitments for improving health care for people with a learning disability and autistic people, supported by investment in community services and support as alternatives to mental health inpatient care. This funding is additional to CCGs’ spending on healthcare for people and began in 2019-20. In 2019-20, this investment was £17 million and £23 million in 2020-21.
