While the Home Office provides the majority of Government funding to the police, decisions on how this is spent are made locally by Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) and their chief constables. As such, the allocation of budgets by individual police forces in England and Wales to cover any potential additional costs arising from policing any events is entirely a local decision. This information is not collected centrally.
