Dr Crellin is not an employee of NHS England. He does receive reimbursement for work related to the NHS England Proton Programmes (Overseas and UK) and for his work supporting the National Clinical Lead for Cancer. This is administered via his employer. NHS England pays Dr Crellin’s employer for the time he spends with NHS England. The way in which this is transacted by the employer is a matter for those parties.
