Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, whether the Greater Manchester Strategic Health and Social Care Partnership Board will be directly accountable to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority under the Manchester NHS devolution plan.
NHS England and clinical commissioning groups, as statutory National Health Service organisations, will remain accountable for meeting the full range of their statutory duties. The fundamental national policies, inspection regimes, guidance and regulations will continue to apply to Greater Manchester.
The Secretary of State will remain ultimately accountable to Parliament for the provision of a comprehensive health service in England, including Greater Manchester.
