There are no immediate plans to amend the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010. There is already a robust regulatory regime in place for shale gas exploration activities. However, we keep the regulatory framework, including the EPRs, under review to ensure that the shale gas industry will continue to be regulated robustly as it develops.
