To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many people were apprehended when illegally entering the UK in Northern Ireland at the border with the Republic of Ireland in each of the last five years.

The Home Office does not hold the information requested. Immigration Enforcement and Border Force conduct intelligence-led operations within Northern Ireland to identify and take action against individuals who are seeking to or have entered the UK from the Republic of
Ireland without the necessary leave.
