Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to the Answer of 15 January 2015 to Question 220354, how many study visas were granted for each of the top 10 nationalities in each year since 2009.

1) The figures refer to entry clearance visas applied for outside the UK.
2) Student visitor visas are not included. Student visitors may come to the UK for up to 6 months (or 11 months for an English language course) and cannot extend their stay.
3) Dependants are included.
