The Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority have announced enforcement investigations into the Co-operative Bank, which are currently ongoing.

The investigation under powers in the Financial Services Act 2012 into events at the Co-operative Bank, and the circumstances surrounding them, will not start and its detailed scope will not be confirmed until it is clear that it will not prejudice any enforcement actions the relevant authorities may take.
