Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what steps her Department is taking to ensure that the Life in the UK test reflects contemporary Britain.
The Life in the UK test was significantly revised in March 2013 to place the emphasis on British history, culture and democracy. It is intended to help those seeking to live permanently in the UK to gain a basic understanding of the democratic principles underlying British society, and of aspects of British culture and traditions.
